Squeakers and Sillies

Day five of the mouse hunt continues. We still haven’t caught the little booger so, as much as I would love Jesse to keep making my meals and cleaning the dishes, I’ve had to suck it up and go into the kitchen by myself. To avoid Squeakers (yes, we’ve named him) from running across my bare feet, I’ve opted to wearing these babies at all times.

Fashionable huh? Well at least they keep my tootsies safe. We haven’t heard from him in the last couple of days so we’re hoping he made it out the way he came in and is back with his mousey family. This is a better image than what might be the reality..

On a lighter note, I captured a couple pictures of Rosie making a major FAIL that just cracked me up. English Bulldogs are not known to be very graceful creatures but I think Rosie may be one of the clumsiest. She often has fender-benders like this but I finally captured her fast speed nose dive on camera. She had a torn up rubber frisbee which got caught up under her and took her out pretty quick. Now I know how English Bulldogs got their smooshy faces 😉

SMOOSH! Don’t worry, she immediately got right back up and kept playing. Speaking of silly dogs, have you seen this Justin Bieber look alike? He’s got his Halloween costume in the bag.

Since I’m on a silly streak I’ll leave you with my favorite video from this week. I keep playing it on repeat and just giggle every time.

Hope that brought a little smile to you. And good news.. it’s almost the weekend! Hooray! Anyone doing anything fun? I will probably clean the house and maybe see a movie (exciting I know).

Later gators,
Natalie & Rosie

  1. Have you tried blocking the way the mouse is getting in? Wedging steel wool into potential entry points worked for my mom in law. I used aluminum tape my husband had on hand, which I think trapped them inside, and our “humane” sticky traps didn’t work, but the nasty ones sure did. I have babies around so the mice needed to be gone, period. Good luck 🙂

    1. Hi Crystal!
We have not tried blocking the hole (since he is getting in through a hole made for the stove’s wires) but we may be able to plug it around the wires. Hopefully we wouldn’t trap him back in the drywall and start smelling something rancid 😉 Thanks for the help!
